Design Brief: To promote the fun and theatre of the new play ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’.
Solution: The concept selected by the client was inspired by the chocolate river from the original movie Charlie and the Chocolate factory. A panel was designed and manufactured to display liquid that reflects flowing chocolate, when the ‘do not press’ button was pressed, music from the theatre production was played along with an increase in the flow rate of the ‘chocolate’ pumping, along with bubbles and a fountainous squirt. The aim was to give both a visual and auditory reward for interacting with the panel.
